The Whole House Energy launch at our new offices went brilliantly last week. We were fortunate enough to have David Levitt OBE speak for us.
David is an architect with an MA and Diploma in Architecture from the University of Cambridge and was awarded the OBE in 1985. In 1968 co-founded the architectural and urban design practice of Levitt Bernstein Associates, until retiring in 2006. In 1968 he co-founded Circle Thirty Three Housing Trust, now Circle Anglia, one of the G15 group of major London housing Associations. David has specialised in every aspect of housing design, with a particular emphasis on housing standards in both the private and social housing sectors. Past Chairman the Housing Group of the Royal Institute of British Architects, Director of Design for Homes and member the Mayor of London’s Design Advisory Group, David gave an address us on the importance of Post Occupancy Evaluation in relation to energy in the built environment.
"Looking back and assessing what we recommended 10 years ago in terms of energy conservation, how, in 10 years’ time will we regard the measures we are recommending today?"
Turn out was great with some of our valued existing clients and some potential new ones. Both food and wine were locally sourced with the Winbirri Vineyard's red and white wines receiving great reviews! "Great evening, and I discovered Norfolk Wines!" (Phil Hunt, UEA).
The Enterprise Centre, of course central to our evening, was the star of the show! We would like to thank all our guests for coming along and hope to see you all soon.
Thank you to Andy Bodycombe for some great photos.
